Once again this year's Annual Parish Assembly will be run in an informal way. The Parish Council believes that this format is more interesting and informative for everybody than listening to the Chairman reading out yet another lengthy report.
All residents are invited to come and meet the representatives of local organisations to find out what they have done over the past year, ask questions, and learn what they plan to do for the community in the next twelve months. Officers from West Berkshire Council and Thames Valley Police will also be there to take your questions on matters such as planning permission, traffic issues and crime or safety matters.
There will be exhibits set up around the Morrell Room for each key aspect of the Parish Council's remit (highways, open spaces, recreation ground and so on). In addition, organisations who have been invited to attend include:
We invite you to come and tell the Parish Council and these other organisations what your key concerns are, as well as hearing about some of the activities they have been involved in and what the current priorities are.
Please join us in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and have a drink whilst you wander around the room talking to those groups that interest you. Give us your views for the future of the village. The Parish Assembly will start at 6.30pm and end at 8.00pm so come at any time within this period and stay as long as you like.
Attendees are reminded of the traffic restrictions currently in place in Church Lane, so either come on foot or, if you need to drive, go past the Morrell Room and leave your car in the Swan car park.
