| Following the Parish
Planning process of Streatley Parish Council a group of volunteers
(headed by Kay and Martin Baker) set up a group of people interested
in looking into the broad issues of sustainability in Streatley.
At around the same time the Goring parish Council through their
Parish Planning process were looking at how to generate hydro
electricity from the river Thames. |
It seemed sensible for the two
groups of people to work together. Since this time the group
have set up clear objectives and have worked on many projects
as well as the biggest of these which is the Hydro project.
Streatley Parish Council has been very supportive of the sustainability
group and has given small grants to assist in the development
of the hydro project.
