Brian Baldwin - Chair
Born in Edinburgh in 1948, Brian spent his young life and early adult years in Scotland. A career promotion meant moving to Yorkshire in the early 1980s and he enjoyed life in England so much that he decided to stay!
With his wife Chris, sons James and George plus his in-laws, Hugh and Fran Howie, he moved into Place Manor in Streatley in 1993.

Brian has a strong commercial background, having been a Director with Vodafone for nearly 20 years. In 2005 he decided to take early retirement from the pressures of business life, and within a short period of time became actively involved in the local community. He spent 18 months on the Committee of Goring and Streatley Amenity Association, and this role eventually led to his co-option onto Streatley Parish Council in May 2007, where he was immediately appointed as Vice Chairman. The following year he was appointed as Chairman on the retirement of George Jamieson, who had carried out that role for 20 of his 21 years as a Councillor.
